A day ooop North (Cornwall).

With 3-4ft waves, light SW winds and buckets of sunshine forecast I headed to the North coast to try and get something better than my last effort at Chally....

This clip is pure class and so so true!

Lukes shoot

The shots below are from a shoot I did in November at Luke Young's new shaping factory nr Plymouth.
Luke's got himself an old barn which he's converted into a few rooms for shaping/spraying/glassing etc, its a pretty sweet setup and Luke is making boards from start to finish by himself. He's a top bloke and well worth having a chat with next time you need a new board, a link to Lukes website is in the margin.

The light was'nt great so I used a Nikon SB28 flash on a lightstand with Skyport transmitters/receivers to get the flash off camera for most of the shots. Lenses were 15mm Fisheye, 50mmf/1.8 and 24-105 f/4L IS with a mk2n body.

The start.

So this is the start of my blog, driven by sheer boredom and frustration of the south coasts lack of surf I decided to do something a bit more productive with my time (getting my ass kicked on Xbox 360 by 12 year old yanks is doing my head in!).

Following the recent changes to my website (losing Photoshelter and just showing my favourite images) I decided to use this blogspace to show a few images from recent shoots and wafftle on a little bit about photography.
Feel free to comment or question anything I add.
Cheers
Mike
